Happy Tulsi Vivah 2020: According to the Hindu calendar, Tulsi marriage takes place on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Shaligram and Tulsi are married on this day. Shaligram is a replica of Lord Vishnu.
According to Narada Purana, at one time, the sage-muni, deity and humans were all very upset by the atrocities of the demon king Jalandhar. He was very powerful and brave. Behind this was the virtue of the virtues of his wife Vrinda, who followed his virtuous religion, from which he would not be defeated. His troubled gods went to Lord Vishnu and asked him a way to defeat him. Then Lord Srihari thought of a way to break Vrinda's piety.
Lord Vishnu took the form of Jalandhar and touched Vrinda. Due to which Vrinda's husbandhood religion was dissolved and Jalandhar was killed in the war. Unhappy with being deceived by Lord Vishnu and disconnected from her husband, Vrinda cursed Srihari that his wife will also be deceived by deceit and you will have to bear the wife's disconnection. For this you have to be born on earth. After giving this curse Vrinda became Sati. The basil plant grew at that place. Sita haran due to curse in Ramavatar and Shriram's wife tolerates disconnection. Another Methological Story states that Vrinda cursed Lord Vishnu to be a stone due to his ruthless behavior. Because of this, Lord Vishnu is worshiped in the form of Shaligram.
